Alberto Souza

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Alberto has been working as a Nurse Practitioner since April of 2013 and has a Master’s Degree in Family Practice and a Post Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health. He has worked in health care for over 14 years and now specializes in helping people with Mental Health Disorders and Substance Addiction. His genuine love for people and desire to continue to learn and improve has allowed him to experience a great deal of success as a provider, to establish a good rapport with patients and to develop lasting relationships with medical professionals in the Southern Utah area. Alberto is also fluent in 3 languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish) which allows him to better serve a more diverse population.

Originally from Sao Paulo Brazil, Alberto moved to the U.S. as a teenager where he has had the opportunity to pursue his American Dream. Alberto lives in Southern Utah with his wife and 4 children and is a devoted family man. In his free time, Alberto enjoys time with his family, traveling, camping, biking, swimming and is an avid soccer fan. Alberto shares his love for soccer through coaching local youth teams in the community.

 

Lisa Thompson

 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Lisa Thompson moved to Saint George to open her psychiatric practice, Desert Spring Behavioral Health, in 2011 after graduating from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lisa holds the title of APRN. An APRN is an advanced practice registered nurse. In 2009, Lisa worked through her Internship and Residency at Primary Care Behavioral Health. Now, Lisa shows her gentle and caring personality by assisting those in need of better mental health for her own practice serving the southern Utah area.

Some of the fields that she offers to her 18 and older clients include medication management, depression, emotional as well as behavioral issues, post-traumatic stress disorders – including therapy for those that served in our military. Help even extends to those that find themselves in crisis situations such as abuse and those considering suicide. You can find a more conclusive list on our Services page.

Taylor Beatty

Family Nurse Practitioner, APRN, FNP-C

Taylor graduated with his Masters Degree and as a Family Nurse Practitioner in October of 2018 from Frontier Nursing University. He will begin his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in April of 2019. His background areas of nursing include ICU, medical/oncology, rehabilitation, home health care, and hospice care. Taylor is driven by providing quality health care services to those who need it the most. His hobbies include camping, weight lifting, woodworking, and hiking. He is married to his wife Ellie and has 5 children. He finds joy in seeing people’s lives changes for the better when they receive the care that they need.
